Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will independently evaluate and treat residents, perform bedside therapies, and operate respiratory equipment.

The role requires state licensure and BLS certification, with experience in tracheostomy care and long-term care. Responsibilities include assessing patients, initiating therapies, documenting progress, and participating in IDT meetings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program with license.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT and licensed in state of practice.
• BL S certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques for rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Deliver bedside treatments and provide quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
• Document daily, weekly and monthly activities and participate in IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols; manage caseload and audits.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
