Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing seeks a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. You will assess and treat residents, initiate therapies, and maintain accurate records to progress rehab outcomes.

Candidate must have COARC-accredited education with an RRT/CRT license, and current BLS certification. This on-site, full-time role requires independence and a passion for geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice and BLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques for rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
• Document daily, weekly, and monthly activities; attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
