Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The role involves treating patients and providing exercise instruction and demonstrations to meet rehab goals.

The position requires an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant, NC license or eligibility, and BLS certification; prior experience in outpatient or inpatient settings is preferred. Work is onsite with weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• NC license or eligible.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to interdisciplinary team planning for patient needs, discharge plans, and family education.
• Precepts PT technicians or other PT assistants and evaluates learner competency per department guidelines.
• Documents patient treatment and progress; completes department records for billing and statistics.
• Instructs physical therapy and physical therapist assistant students.
• Provides skilled treatments; designs and teaches exercise programs to meet PT goals and trains patients in ambulatory devices and home exercises.
