Job summary

JCC Greater Boston is seeking an experienced lead babysitter to staff JCare Babysitting, a weekend morning program for children aged 3 months to 11 years. The role emphasizes safety, engagement, and a warm environment, under the supervision of the AD of Family Programming.

This is a limited part-time, non-exempt position with flexible hours, offering a starting pay of $20.00–$22.00 per hour. CPR/AED certification is required or must be obtained.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children (3 months to 11 years) preferred.
• Ability to create a safe, engaging environment for children.
• CPR/AED certification required or willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily check-in procedures and note unique needs for children.
• Ensure safety and adherence to rules during activities.
• Facilitate age-appropriate activities and positive social interactions.
• Maintain clean, organized spaces and proper check-in processes.
• Communicate with caregivers professionally and promptly.
