Job summary

Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dependable Laundry Aide for weekend shifts. You will maintain clean linens and clothing for residents, supporting a safe and comfortable environment.

Responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering items, while following infection control procedures. Prior laundry or housekeeping experience in healthcare is preferred but not required; reliability and team-work are essential.

Qualifications

• Healthcare laundry or housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull laundry carts and supplies.
• Reliable attendance and a positive, resident-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens for resident care and comfort.
• Inspect linens and remove damaged or stained items from service.
• Collect residents' laundry daily or as needed.
• Label new residents' clothing as needed.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms promptly and accurately.
• Follow infection control, sanitation and laundry procedures.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely according to facility procedures.
• Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Administrator.
• Assist with general housekeeping and cleaning duties as assigned to maintain a clean, sanitary, odor-free environment.
