Job summary

KMC Stampings in Port Washington, WI is seeking a Laser Setup/Operator to run a computer-controlled laser and produce parts that meet specifications. Under the Plant Supervisor, you will set up and operate the laser, align tools and fixtures, and monitor part quality.

The role requires 6 months of manufacturing experience, familiarity with Trumpf TruLaser 3530 and Trumpf Trumatic 600L preferred, and strong reading, writing, and math skills. Overtime and second shift may be required.

Qualifications

• 6 months of manufacturing experience.
• Strong reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks; lift up to 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate laser cutting machine.
• Mount, install, align and secure tools and fixtures.
• Set up gauges to position parts accurately.
• Interpret drawings to hold tolerances.
• Perform quality inspections with precision instruments.
• Use scales and gauges to verify measurements.
• Sort and package parts.
• Operate overhead crane when moving product.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
