Job summary

Morton Grove Park District is seeking a Gymnastics Instructor to teach recreational gymnastics to children aged 5–10, emphasizing safety and correct technique. The role typically requires 4–6 hours per week and weekend availability.

You will follow the coach's lesson plans, spot and assist participants, assess progress, and maintain a safe, engaging environment while collaborating with staff and communicating with families.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Minimum of two years of gymnastics experience.
• Ability to work independently with good judgment and communicate effectively; strong leadership.
• Weekend availability required; CPR, First Aid and AED certifications within 3 months; Gymnastics Safe Sport by Feb 1.

Responsibilities

• Teach gymnastics classes for ages 5–10 with focus on safety and technique.
• Spot and assist participants with basic and intermediate skills.
• Follow established lesson plans and maintain class management.
• Evaluate participant progress and advise on advancement.
• Ensure safety of all students and equipment; report concerns promptly.
