Job summary

Des Plaines Park District is seeking a part-time Youth Gymnastics Instructor for ages 6-13. You will develop, plan, coordinate activities, and evaluate participants under the Recreation Department. The role requires safe supervision and the ability to assess progress.

Minimum age 16, with at least 2 years of gymnastics experience and CPR/First Aid certification. Benefits include program discounts and facility access during employment.

Qualifications

• Certifications in CPR and First Aid are required or available through the Park District.
• Experience teaching gymnastics or coaching is preferred.
• Good supervisory and safety practices for youth activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and ensure safety of the 6–13 year old gymnastics program.
• Track attendance and assess children’s progress during activities.
• Communicate medical or behavior issues to Athletic Manager and parents.
