Job summary

TeamHealth is seeking a compassionate internal medicine physician for weekend coverage in Middletown, Delaware, joining our post-acute care team. This part-time role (1-2 days/week) involves inpatient rehab rounding with strong support, autonomy, and earning potential.

Compensation is fees-for-service with a range of $88,000–$110,000 annually and no cap on productivity income. You will provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and build

Qualifications

• Current physician license (State of Delaware) and DEA.
• Experience in post-acute or acute clinic settings preferred, but not required; new grads welcome to apply.
• Strong clinical foundation and knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a positive outlook.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inpatient medical assessments, including history, physical exams, and review of rehabilitation goals.
• Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in coordination with the rehabilitation plan.
• Monitor functional progress and adjust treatment plans to support recovery goals.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation physicians, nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide medical education to patients and families related to recovery, comorbidities, and prevention.
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records in compliance with regulations.
