Job summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking an Inpatient Therapist to interview and assess adult patients and their families, developing psychosocial treatment plans and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes psychosocial therapy and discharge planning within a supportive environment.

The position is part-time with weekend shifts, in-person work, and compensation that may include additional pay practices. Strong communication and patient relations skills are essential.

Qualifications

• MSW required from an accredited school of social work.
• Must hold a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Registered as Associate Clinical Social Worker with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting and familiarity with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients and families.
• Develop and update individualized care and discharge plans.
• Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and supportive services.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on community resources and support services.
• Make mandated reports and ensure compliance with legal/regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement.
