Job summary
Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse (RN) to join the founding team at our new residential facility in Rochester Hills, Michigan. You'll provide direct nursing care in our inpatient substance use and mental health program, including medically supervised withdrawal management, and serve as the link between patients, physicians, and the treatment team.
Schedule: Part-time, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM (24 hours per week).
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current, active, and unencumbered Michigan RN license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of withdrawal management protocols and ability to recognize signs of medical instability.
- Competency in medication administration, documentation, and EHR systems.
Responsibilities
- Complete nursing assessments and admission documentation within 24 hours of admission.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and provide medication education.
- Assess medical needs, determine urgency, and initiate interventions, referrals, or emergency response.
- Assess patients for suicide risk and safety concerns and supervise LPN assessments as required.
