Job summary

Regional Cancer Care Associates is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide inpatient oncology coverage one weekend per month at our Belleville, NJ hospital location. This role emphasizes independent practice within a collaborative care team.

Candidates must have MSN and NP licensure, at least 3 years in oncology, and BLS/CPR certification. Per diem schedule, competitive hourly pay, and a supportive environment offering bedside patient care

Qualifications

• MSN from an accredited nursing school and NP program completion.
• Minimum of 3 years as a practicing NP, preferably in oncology.
• RN license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current state NP licensure.
• AOCNP preferred. BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical expertise and advanced assessment to propose interventions and action plans.
• Prioritizes and evaluates patient progress with a multidisciplinary approach.
• Provides culturally appropriate health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
• Coordinates development of evidence-based practice protocols and standards of care.
• Analyzes patterns of variance in practice and recommends evidence-based changes.
• Facilitates and coordinates educational programs including mentoring.
• Identifies educational needs and develops programs and teaching materials.
• Serves as a clinical resource to evaluate complex patients and outcomes.
• Evaluates protocols in light of current research findings.
• Disseminates research findings through practice, education or consultation.
• Lifts and stands for required durations per safety standards.
