Job summary

InReach NC is seeking friendly and caring individuals to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in a residential home setting in Charlotte, NC. The role is part-time, with 30+ hours over the weekend (Fri-Sun).

Responsibilities include meal planning, cooking assistance, personal care, hygiene, activities, documentation, and medication dispensation. A valid driver's license and HS diploma or GED are required, and ASL proficiency is needed.

Qualifications

• Basic American Sign Language (ASL)
• At least 6 months of previous experience working with the I/DD population or relevant experience; verifiable
• At least 21 years old; prior group home experience preferred
• A valid Driver's license
• A High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking.
• Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care & hygiene.
• Provide community recreational activities when available.
• Provide and participate in in-home leisure activities.
• Documentation of activities.
• Help residents develop healthy social habits.
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
• Must be willing to drive a full-size passenger van.
