Job summary

Regal Heights Rehab and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions within the nursing facility in Jackson Heights, Queens. Prior experience in hotel, hospital, or nursing home settings is required, with strong attention to safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in hotel, hospital, or nursing home setting needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping department
• Maintains a high level of cleanliness & safety throughout designated areas
• Ensure that equipment is clean and in working condition
• Follow instructions by the Director of Housekeeping Services, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe manner
• Removal of trash & used linens. Should be able to lift up to forty pounds
• Discard waste/trash in proper containers and reline trash receptacles with a plastic liner
• Properly store equipment, tools, and supplies
• Report any broken equipment to supervisor.
