Job summary

Regal Heights Rehab and Nursing Center in Jackson Heights, Queens, is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions throughout the Nursing Home. Prior experience in hotel, hospital, or nursing home settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, hospital, or nursing home setting required.

Responsibilities

• Perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping department
• Maintains a high level of cleanliness & safety throughout designated areas
• Ensure that equipment is clean and in working condition
• Follow instructions by the Director of Housekeeping Services, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe manner
• Removal of trash & used linens. Should be able to lift up to forty pounds
• Discard waste/trash in proper containers and reline trash receptacles with a plastic liner
• Properly store equipment, tools, and supplies
• Report any broken equipment to supervisor.
