Job summary

Regal Heights Rehab and Nursing Center in Jackson Heights, Queens, is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to join our team. This role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and sanitary conditions across designated areas within the Nursing Home.

You will perform day‑to‑day housekeeping tasks, ensure equipment is clean and in good working condition, and follow directions from the Director of Housekeeping to keep the facility safe. Prior experience in hotel, hospital, or nursing home settings is required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in hotel, hospital, or nursing home setting required.

Responsibilities

• Perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping department
• Maintains a high level of cleanliness & safety throughout designated areas
• Ensure that equipment is clean and in working condition
• Follow instructions by the Director of Housekeeping Services, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe manner
• Removal of trash & used linens. Should be able to lift up to forty pounds
• Discard waste/trash in proper containers and reline trash receptacles with a plastic liner
• Properly store equipment, tools, and supplies
• Report any broken equipment to supervisor.
