Job summary

St. Mary Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Pharmacist for weekend coverage (every other Saturday and Sunday) in a small interdisciplinary team. After training, the weekend pharmacist will independently manage hospital pharmacy operations with autonomy.

Two years of hospital pharmacy experience is preferred; BS Pharm or PharmD is required, with residency or BCPS certification preferred. Compensation includes comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with hospital setting experience preferred.
• Two years hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy; BS Pharm or PharmD required.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician medication orders with accuracy and timeliness; resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor medication management processes (selection, storage, ordering, dispensing, administration, monitoring).
• Verify and approve work by Pharmacy Technician(s); provide coaching.
• Order, receive, and store medications to maintain integrity and compliance.
• Review patient-specific drug therapy for indications, dosing, interactions, contraindications, and documentation of interventions.
• Perform anticoagulant monitoring and communicate dose/therapy recommendations per protocol.
