Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines is seeking an Environmental Services Tech for PRN weekend shifts. Under ES supervision you will perform cleaning and sanitation to maintain a safe, comfortable hospital environment.

Responsibilities include following the 7-step cleaning method, proper equipment use, handling of sharps and biohazardous waste, and delivering service with a focus on patient comfort and safety. Shift 6a-2:30p.

Qualifications

• General cleaning and sanitation requirements per hospital standards
• Customer service oriented approach expected
• Ability to follow instructions and training related to ES duties

Responsibilities

• General cleaning as assigned (7-step method)
• Appropriate equipment use as assigned
• Service excellence/customer service
• Appropriate lifting up to and including 50 lbs
• Appropriate chemical use
• Appropriate handling of sharps/bio-hazardous waste
• Knowledge of mandatory hospital information (codes, safety, OSHA)
• Basic floor care as assigned
• Other duties as assigned
