Job summary

Liberty Hospice is seeking an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time weekend on-call coverage in Piedmont. The role focuses on providing compassionate end-of-life care, coordinating with families and the Hospice team, and ensuring documentation aligns with reimbursement guidelines.

Requirements include active RN licensure, 2+ years of nursing with hospice experience preferred, CPR certification, and willingness to travel for weekend, evening, and holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in state of practice.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience with at least one year in hospice preferred.
• Knowledge of home health and hospice care program structure and the nurse’s role in a patient care team.
• Compliance with nursing practice act, agency policies and reimbursement guidelines.
• 12 hours of continuing education annually.
• CPR certification.
• Travel may be required for weekend/evening/holiday call assignments.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing theories and concepts to patient care.
• Care and documentation meeting reimbursement guidelines.
• Coordinate physical care with family, patient, physician and Hospice team.
• Communicate with patients and families at all levels.
• Communicate with agency personnel.
• Attend and participate in IDT meetings and quality reviews.
