Job summary

Compassionate Care Hospice in Fresno is seeking a Weekend RN to provide in-home hospice care across the Central Valley. You will perform initial and ongoing assessments, develop and revise care plans, administer medications, and support patients and families.

The ideal candidate has a California RN license and CPR, with at least one year of hospice experience. We offer a dynamic team, flexible weekend hours, and a culture of respect and growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a National League of Nursing accredited school of nursing.
• Current license in California and current CPR certification.
• Registered nurses shall have a minimum of (a) one (1) year of experience as a professional nurse within the last three (3) years OR (b) have a baccalaureate degree in nursing from a program accredited by the NLN and a current RN license.

Responsibilities

• Completes an initial, comprehensive and ongoing assessment of patient and family to determine hospice needs.
• Provides professional nursing care by utilizing all elements of the nursing process and as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Assesses and evaluates patient's status by writing and initiating plan of care and regularly re-evaluating needs.
