Job summary
Suncoast Hospice, part of Empath Health, is seeking a compassionate Hospice RN for a weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM) serving Pinellas County homes and facilities. You will coordinate patient/family needs, provide end-of-life care, and document medications under physician orders within a supportive interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications
- Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse is required.
- Valid Florida State Driver’s License is required.
- CPR certification from ARC or AHA.
- Preferred: 1 year experience in acute or post-acute care.
- Preferred experience caring for terminal patients.
Responsibilities
- Under physician’s orders, identify and coordinate patient/family needs and provide preventative and supportive end-of-life care.
- Use assessment, intervention and teaching to maximize patient comfort and quality of life for the patient/family unit.
- Administer, monitor and document medications as prescribed by the attending physician.
- Assist with closure contact and family support after a patient’s death in collaboration with the IDT.
