Job summary

Badger Hospice, LLC is seeking a compassionate Hospice On-Call Nurse (RN/LPN) to provide weekend after-hours support and skilled nursing care for hospice patients and families across the service area.

You will respond to urgent patient needs, offer clinical guidance, and help ensure comfort and dignity outside of regular hours. This role requires travel between Brookfield and Burlington areas and a valid Wisconsin license.

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Hospice, home health, med-surg, or critical care experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and clinical judgment skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to after-hours patient, family, and staff needs.
• Provide skilled nursing care and death visits as needed.
• Assess patient conditions, manage symptoms, and coordinate care.
• Educate families, communicate clinical updates, and maintain documentation.
