Job summary

Capitol View Home Health Care is seeking a Weekend Home Health Aide for PRN Saturday and Sunday shifts across Washington, DC. You will provide essential in-home care, including personal hygiene, mobility support, and companionship, while following each client's care plan.

Ideal candidates have HHA training and CPR certification, with weekend availability and a compassionate, reliable approach. This role offers flexible weekend scheduling and opportunities throughout DC.

Qualifications

• Home Health Aide training or certification as required.
• Previous home care, personal care, or caregiving experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Support toileting, mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
• Prepare meals and assist feeding.
• Medication reminders as permitted.
• Maintain clean, safe home environment and light housekeeping.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Follow established plan of care and report changes.
• Ensure client safety, comfort, and independence.

What You'll Do

As a Weekend Home Health Aide, you may assist clients with:

• Bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene

• Toileting and personal care

• Mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation

• Meal preparation and feeding assistance

• Medication reminders as permitted

• Light housekeeping related to client care

• Maintaining a clean and safe home environment

• Companionship and emotional support

• Following the client's established plan of care

• Observing and reporting changes in the client's condition

• Supporting clients with their normal weekend routines

• Helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home

What We're Looking For

• Home Health Aide training or certification as required

• Previous home care, personal care, or caregiving experience preferred

• Current CPR certification

• Weekend availability required

• Dependable and committed to scheduled assignments

• Compassionate, patient, and respectful

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to follow an established plan of care

• Ability to work independently in a client's home

• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned client locations
