Job summary

Atlantic Health System's Newton Medical Center is seeking Per Diem Psychiatrists to support Behavioral Health Services. The role requires providing per diem coverage with a minimum of six weekend days and/or holidays, as scheduled by the Department of Psychiatry.

The psychiatrist will provide clinical and administrative direction for Psychiatric Services across Newton Medical Center and collaborate with CIS/ED teams, inpatient units, and APNs.

Qualifications

• Board certification in adult psychiatry.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
• Per diem coverage for weekend days and/or holidays as scheduled by the Department of Psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric coverage for Crisis Intervention Services (CIS) and Emergency Department (ED) on weekends/holidays.
• Provide psychiatric coverage for the Psychiatric Inpatient Unit on weekends/holidays.
• Provide psychiatric consultation for urgent medical-surgical inpatients on weekends/holidays.
• Supervise the psychiatric unit team and support Per Diem Psychiatric APN.
