Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner for Psychiatry at Newton Medical Center in Newton, NJ. The NP will perform psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, and provide crisis intervention with flexible shifts across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Applicants should have 2+ years in psychiatry, be NJ licensed or eligible, ANCC certified, and hold ACLS/BLS. New grads are welcome to apply; strong independence and teamwork are valued in a large, supportive health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
• ANCC certified.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• 2 years of psychiatry experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
• Deliver crisis intervention services as needed.
• Support inpatient, outpatient, or mixed settings per shift selection.
