Job summary

CBRE Government and Defense is seeking a part-time Custodian in Wilson, NC. The role focuses on basic cleaning, including mopping, sweeping, and trash disposal, to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.

The position requires at least a High School Diploma and 2 years of floor care/carpet cleaning experience, with a Saturday-Sunday shift. On-site work with standard cleaning procedures and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of job-related experience specific to floor care and carpet cleaning.
• Experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial, or a similar field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas of the building designated by the supervisor, including floor and carpet duties.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment including moving and rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are in a safe, secure area at all times.
• Complete standardized cleaning process per company standards.
• Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend all regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems with limited discretion.
