Job summary

Bedford Wellness and Rehabilitation is seeking a Floor Technician to cover Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts (6 AM–12:00). The role involves comprehensive floor care, housekeeping, and building maintenance to ensure a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.

The successful candidate will follow supervisor schedules, perform routine floor care, assist with maintenance tasks, and coordinate with the team to uphold infection prevention and cleanliness standards across the facility.

Qualifications

• One year's work experience in a commercial establishment with knowledge of laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wash, seal, wax, and buff all floors as scheduled.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as checking and replacing light bulbs and cleaning vents in resident rooms and other areas.
• Clean, disinfect fixtures, floors, walls, doors and ceilings as required.
• Assist with environmental services requests and communicate with management on best practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of floors and work areas; ensure proper storage of equipment and supplies.
• Maintain room readiness for admissions and discharges.
