The Miriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a supplemental weekend staffing program. You will advocate for patients, apply the nursing process, and collaborate with LPNs, CNAs, and other licensed staff to ensure quality care.

Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, documenting interventions, and participating in unit-based meetings to improve care delivery. A Rhode Island RN license and BLS/CPR certification are required on hire.

Qualificações

• Graduate of a school of nursing, Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred, with current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in applicable state(s).
• Conformity to the Code of Professional Nurses and Rhode Island Nurse Practice Act requirements.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide care across the life span with aging processes and cultural sensitivity.
• Certification in CPR (AHA BLS) upon hire.

Responsabilidades

• Recognizes and reports deviations from patient norms and documents nursing interventions.
• Provides basic comfort and supports patient needs and family participation in care.
• Identifies emergency situations and initiates appropriate response.
• Defines nursing diagnosis and expected patient outcomes; adjusts care plan as needed.
• Implements nursing interventions and evaluates outcomes; maintains documentation.
• Maintains current knowledge of professional nursing practice and hospital policies.
• Collaborates with the health team to facilitate interventions and outcomes.
• Participates in quality improvement and risk management activities.
• May provide shift charge responsibilities and assign patient care.
