Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Facilities Technician for the Weekend Shift to manage operation, maintenance, and repair of building structures and services across all facilities and satellite clinics. You will support a safe, welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues during weekend hours.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, plus vocational or trade school training or equivalent experience in building operations.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Completion of vocational or trade school or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical setting related to building operations is required.
• Mechanically inclined with ability to work with tools and test instruments; strong troubleshooting and decision-making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, repair and upkeep of building structures and services to ensure safe, reliable facilities.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and document activities.
• Communicate effectively with care providers, patients, visitors and staff; use basic computer systems.
