Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA in Montgomery County is seeking a Weekend Custodian to help keep facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for members. The role requires weekend shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and will support locker rooms, floors, and general custodial maintenance to ensure a positive member experience.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older with a high school or technical school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize walls, floors, furniture, equipment using proper supplies and label instructions. Vacuum, sweep, dust all areas and dispose of trash per procedures.
• Set up and break down equipment as needed; ensure program equipment is clean, sanitized, and in good working order.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and maintain safety of members, participants, guests, and staff.
• Maintain closets and shop areas in neat, organized, and safe condition with labeled supplies and chemicals.
