Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Housekeeping/Custodian to ensure cleanliness and safety across facilities. You will maintain locker rooms, floors, grounds, and general custodial areas, creating a healthy environment and a positive member experience.

Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitizing, setting up equipment for activities, responding to incidents, and keeping storage areas organized. Join a nonprofit team dedicated to strengthening the community.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize walls, floors, furniture, equipment using appropriate supplies and label instructions.
• Set up and break down equipment as needed; ensure equipment for programs is clean, sanitized and in good working order.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and maintain safety of members, participants, guests, and staff.
• Maintain closets and shop areas in neat, organized, and safe condition with labeled supplies and chemicals.
