Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Custodian for weekend shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) to keep locker rooms, floors, and facilities clean and safe. You will support a positive member experience by maintaining a healthy environment.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and ability to operate cleaning equipment. Training is provided, and benefits include a free YMCA membership and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school or technical school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize walls, floors, furniture, equipment utilizing the proper supplies and in accordance with product label instructions.
• Vacuum, sweep, dust all areas, furniture, light fixtures, and other equipment.
• Routinely monitor trash and dispose in accordance with procedures.
• Set up and break down equipment as needed; ensure program equipment is clean, sanitized and in good working order.
