Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Asheville, NC, seeks a FAB Machine Operator for a Fri–Sun 7:00 am–7:30 pm weekend shift. The role involves operating fabrication machinery, setting up PLC/Analog/manual machines, and producing parts per drawings. Must follow safety rules and complete required paperwork.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED; a Machining Certificate is preferred. Relocation is not offered; candidates within 50 miles will be considered. OT and weekend work are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• No immigration sponsorship is provided for this position.
• Applicants must reside within 50 miles of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations.
• Understand / receive work assignments from Supervisor.
• Perform initial setup for operation on PLC, Analog, or Manual controlled machines.
• Operate equipment to produce parts.
• Interpret work orders including Kanban cards and drawings.
• Complete paperwork and system transactions.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation.
• Inspect final component against work specifications.
• Perform operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment.
• Report abnormal situations and submit maintenance work orders.
• Provide on-the-job training for new Operators.
• Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily.
• Complete any other assigned tasks from management or leads.
