Job summary

Jethro's Cocktail Lounge in Houston, TX is seeking friendly, reliable server/waitstaff to join our team. You will provide excellent service in a fast-paced restaurant and help create a great dining experience for every guest.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy in taking orders, maintaining a clean work area, and a positive attitude. Weekend/evening work is common; base hourly wage plus tips with additional compensation explained at interview.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant serving experience preferred, but willing to train the right person.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy periods.
• Must be at least 18 years old if required for the position's duties.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide friendly, professional service
• Take accurate food and beverage orders
• Explain menu items and make recommendations
• Enter orders accurately and communicate with the kitchen and sushi bar
• Check on guests throughout their meal and respond to their needs
• Maintain clean and organized tables and service areas
• Complete assigned opening, daily, and closing duties
• Follow all restaurant policies, food safety standards, and service procedures
• Work as a team with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, sushi chefs, and management
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
