Job summary

Georgetown Learning Centers is seeking a part-time tutor to coach students primarily through our online platform, with weekend and evening hours available. The role emphasizes math, statistics, physics, and calculus, plus SAT instruction, across middle and high school levels.

Previous teaching or tutoring experience is required. A bachelor’s degree is expected, and strong communication and problem-solving skills will help students gain confidence and academic success.

The position will comprise teaching students in person if available, but primarily utilizing our excellent online teaching platform that we have adapted from the pandemic that we have now fully incorporated into our teaching regiment. Weekend availability, particularly Sunday is highly sought after, and availability in the late afternoon or evenings on weekdays would be helpful as well. The position compensates at $35-50 an hour based on experience and amount of academic subjects that can be covered with students. Comfort with Statistics, Physics, and/or Calculus are preferable as these subjects are in high demand. Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a requirement.
