Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Downtown Manhattan is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to assist in our ER department on Saturday and/or Sunday. This part-time role offers benefits and competitive shift differentials.

You will induce, monitor and recover anesthesia, triage emergency cases, perform digital radiography, and manage monitoring equipment. A NY-licensed VT with ER experience is preferred; mentorship and ongoing professional development are available.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Veterinary Technician in New York.
• Experience in ER or critical care preferred.
• Ability to monitor anesthesia and assist in procedures.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Triage emergency cases and monitor vitals.
• Perform digital radiography and interpret results.
• Place IV catheters and manage monitoring equipment.
• Mentor and train co-workers.
