Job summary

Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield, IL is seeking a Weekend Only Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This full-time day shift position offers an additional Weekend Only premium pay and a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000.

You will join a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center delivering life-saving care. As an ER nurse, you’ll assess and stabilize critically ill or injured patients, administer medications and IV therapies, and coordinate with trauma teams.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Active RN license in Illinois required.
Current BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

Deliver expert emergency nursing care, quickly assessing and stabilizing critically ill or injured patients.
Administer medications, IV fluids and life-saving treatments.
Work closely with trauma teams, physicians and specialists to coordinate urgent and complex care.
Monitor patient conditions, responding decisively to changes in status.
Communicate effectively with patients and families, offering support, education and reassurance in high-stress situations.
