Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department on weekend nights (6:45 PM–7:15 AM). This part-time role provides 24 hours weekly, with patient care across acute, chronic, and terminal illnesses.

You'll assess, plan, and deliver nursing care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, participate in education and committees, mentor students, and ensure compliance with Missouri Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Missouri RN license.
• Current BCLS certification.
• BSN or equivalent preferred.
• RN Specialty Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients based on diagnosis and care needs.
• Plan, perform, delegate, and evaluate nursing care using your skills.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in committees, program evaluations, research, and education.
• Supervise and mentor students.
• Ensure compliance with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and regulations.
