Qualifications

• Licensed RN with a Registered Nurse Diploma.
• PALS or Emergency Pediatric course within 1 year of start date.
• ATCN or Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year of start date.
• BCLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly and promotes effective pain management.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other nursing tasks as ordered by the physician and documents care in the EHR.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs to deliver exceptional care.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up steps.
• Translates medical terminology to ensure patient and family understanding and prepares for self-management.
