Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Weekend Option Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Room (ER) at West Hospital to deliver compassionate care and coordinate patient plans. The role requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to assess patient status, determine priorities, and implement nursing interventions in a fast-paced ER environment.

The RN must hold an accredited nursing degree, active RN licensure, and be prepared to obtain ACLS/PALS within six months, with BLS also expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS or ACLS and PALS certifications (preferred at hire; ACLS/PALS within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Care for groups of patients in a fast-paced setting as part of an interprofessional team.
• Evaluates and revises the plan of care to meet outcomes.
• Serve as point of contact for patient care coordination across departments.
• Administer medications safely per policies.
