Karman Space & Defense is seeking an EHS Specialist in Gulfport, MS to support safety walkthroughs, incident documentation, and PPE management. This role works Thursday through Sunday, with a 4‑hour shift and three 12‑hour shifts, contributing to a safe and compliant work environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and strong attention to detail. OSHA familiarity and strong communication are pluses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work Thursday–Sunday schedule reliably.
• Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, data entry.
• Read/write procedures and prepare clear reports.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and escalate concerns.

Responsabilités

• Conduct safety walkthroughs using checklists and report hazards.
• Check emergency equipment and report deficiencies.
• Maintain inspection records, training attendance, and PPE logs.
• Coordinate with supervisors on open findings and corrective action documentation.
• Notify EHS contacts of injuries or unsafe conditions and assist with incident documentation.
• Support safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training scheduling.
