Job summary

UT Health East Texas in Tyler, TX is seeking a weekend shift Echo Technologist (PRN) to perform echocardiography studies for all ages under the supervision of the Echo team. This role involves operating ultrasound equipment and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

Qualified candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent, be eligible for Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, and be prepared to obtain RDCS/RCS within six months. Overtime and on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer eligible.
• Proctored PRN Echo student in allied health program may work under supervision.
• Knowledge to operate ultrasound equipment and perform procedures.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures for all ages by utilizing imaging modalities to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
• Subject to overtime and call back as required by the hospital.
