Qualifications

• CDM certification required; supervisory experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities are essential.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets, food safety standards, and long-term care regulations is important.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Dietary Department.
• Ensure meals meet physician-ordered diets and approved menus.
• Maintain compliance with all dietary, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
• Oversee food preparation, meal service, sanitation, and quality assurance.
• Train, mentor, and support dietary staff while promoting teamwork and accountability.
• Monitor food temperatures, sanitation procedures, and infection control practices.
• Assist with menu implementation, inventory management, purchasing, and cost control.
• Collaborate with nursing, administration, and the interdisciplinary care team to meet residents' nutritional needs.
• Participate in state survey readiness and regulatory compliance activities.
• Maintain accurate department records and documentation.
