Qualifications

• CDM certification required.
• Supervisory experience in skilled nursing, post-acute, or healthcare dietary department preferred.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets, food safety standards, and long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the Dietary Department.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served according to physician-ordered diets and approved menus.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local dietary, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
• Oversee food preparation, meal service, sanitation, and quality assurance.
• Train, mentor, and support dietary staff while promoting teamwork and accountability.
• Monitor food temperatures, sanitation procedures, and infection control practices.
• Assist with menu implementation, inventory, purchasing, and cost control.
• Collaborate with nursing and administration to meet residents' nutritional needs.
