Heart to Heart Health Care Services in Toms River, NJ is seeking Direct Support Professionals for full-time, part-time, and PRN roles to support individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in a group home setting.

Duties include providing support, transportation and assistance to enable daily routines in a safe, dignified and productive manner, while promoting independence through skill training in self-care, chores, social and recreation activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver’s license valid and up to date.
• Physical and PPD within the last year.

Job Description

Direct Support to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in a Group Home setting. Provide support, transportation and assistance for each individual to enable her/him to complete daily routines in a safe, healthy, productive and dignified manner. This usually includes toileting, bathing, dressing, laundry, supervision of recreation. Encourages independence by providing both the opportunity and the appropriate levels of skill training for the individuals in categories such as self-care, household chores, social skills, recreation skills, etc.
