Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide in-home and community-based support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Bethlehem, PA and surrounding areas.

Competitive $20.00 per hour pay with flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and benefits available. Prior DSP, CNA, or home health aide experience is welcome but not required; training and career growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• DSP, BH Technician, or CNA experience preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation to and from client homes.
• Ability to pass required background screenings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient and dependable personality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Support community integration and recreational activities.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping; promote independence and safety.
• Document services and client progress accurately.
• Follow individualized care plans and behavioral support plans as needed.
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional relationship with clients and families.
