Job summary

Oakmont of Simi Valley is seeking a friendly Server to serve residents and guests in our senior living community. You will work Fri–Sun, 6:00 am to 1:30 pm, taking orders, delivering meals, and maintaining a clean dining area in line with our standards and values.

Experience is not required; we train the right person. Must be at least 16, with a high school diploma or equivalent, good communication, teamwork, and a compassionate approach to elder care.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact with employees, supervisors, healthcare professionals, residents, and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Accurately and professionally take residents' and guests’ food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS.
• Set up and break down tables.
• Assure compliance with proper serving techniques/etiquette.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
