Job summary

Encanto Palms Assisted Living is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily kitchen operations, including serving meals, cleaning and sanitizing work areas, and assisting the Cook and Dietary Supervisor. The role requires learning routines quickly, following recipes, and maintaining food safety standards.

Responsibilities include dishwashing, tray preparation, water and chemical checks, and assisting with nourishment preparation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Record and monitor chlorine concentration and water temperature in dishwashing area.
• Observe dishwasher water temperatures during cycles.
• Operate the dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and maintain clean floors and surfaces.
• Carry out trash and organize groceries safely.
• Keep kitchen clean and sanitary; assist Cook or Dietary Supervisor as needed.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
