Job summary

Aerotek in Lawrence, KS is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance in an industrial production environment. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, and assist with basic fabrication, welding, and machining as needed.

Strong reading of procedures and blueprints is important for timely, safe repairs. This is a permanent, onsite role with weekend day shifts from 7:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial/production setting.
• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Experience with basic fabrication, welding, burning, cutting, pipefitting, and machining.
• Ability to read and work from oral and written instructions, including procedures and basic blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment issues in a production environment to identify root causes and restore operation.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components on industrial machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Carry out basic fabrication, welding, burning, cutting, pipefitting, and machining as needed.
• Work from maintenance work orders, procedures, and technical documentation.
