Job summary

HES in Libertyville, IL is seeking a General Cleaner for a part‑time role with weekend shifts (1st and 2nd). You will maintain daily cleanliness across assigned areas, performing sweeping, dusting, mopping, carpet extraction, restroom sanitation, window washing, and trash removal.

The position requires a reliable work history, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and teamwork. A background check is required and benefits are available.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust, damp mop, vacuum, extract carpet, strip and wax floors, remove trash and recycling, clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms, and clean desks/walls/furniture/doors/entry glass.
• Polish windows and interior glass; maintain areas within 10 feet of entryways; remove snow and ice.
• Clean and maintain light fixtures and chalkboards/whiteboards; handle other duties as directed by custodial supervisor.

IMPORTANT: The shift for this position is 6am-6pm Saturday and Sunday.

General Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned areas. General Cleaners perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the facility. Essential Functions Sweeping, dusting, dust mopping, damp mopping, vacuuming, extracting carpet, stripping and waxing floors, removing trash, recycling, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and locker rooms, polishing outside area within 10 feet of entryways, washing windows, removal or snow and ice, cleaning of desks/walls/ furniture/ doors/ entry glass/ interior glass/counter tops/chalkboards/ whiteboards/blinds and light fixtures, and any other duties as directed by custodial supervisor or his/her designated representative.
